I’m Sunday Harholdt, family law attorney. I’ll give you straightforward legal advice.

A picture of Sunday Harholdt, a Minnesota attorney, who can be described as a woman with short blonde hair, wearing a light gray blazer over a black top, looking confidently at the camera with a slight smile in front of a plain white background.
Small dash indicating that the writer of the text is the woman in the picture, Sunday Harholdt.

I know family is most important to you because family is most important to me too.

From experience, I know that those involved in family court proceedings are likely going through some of their most difficult times.

Your family law attorney should respond your questions and concerns throughout your family court proceeding; your attorney should take the mystery out of the family court process; your attorney should help you to feel fully prepared, so that you look forward to your day in court.

I have years of experience litigating family court matters; sometimes trial is necessary. I’m comfortable going to trial.

I’m also well-versed in settlement practices and I have many years of experience spotting settlement potential. My goal is to protect your interests and to see you through your family court matter, so can move forward without any regrets.

Do not go to family court without first speaking with an attorney.

I do not offer free or low-fee services through this website. If you cannot afford legal fees (attorney’s are expensive), please reach out to legal aid services or attend a legal clinic.

I was born and raised in Minnesota; I’ve lived in and traveled to other places, and I think Minnesota is the best place on earth. It’s beautiful and my family is here.

I went to school and stuff; graduated with a liberal arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from Hamline (now Mitchell | Hamline) and I have a license to practice law in Minnesota.

I’m down to earth; I keep my overhead low so that I can keep my rates reasonable.

About me:

Divorce: It's time to disentangle. You need an attorney to look out for your interests. I'll guide you through the divorce process so you can start the next chapter satisfied that you got the best outcome possible, and that you fought for what's fair. Trial isn't the only path forward and I'm in favor of settlement and cost savings for you. But sometimes trial is the only path forward.

Custody

You have the right to be involved in your child’s life. Your child deserves to have time with you. If the other parent is withholding your child from you, minimizing your time with your child, refusing to give you information about your child’s healthcare or schooling, or refusing to involve you in major decisions that impact your child’s well-being, it’s time to go to court.

In Minnesota, the court uses a child support calculator to determine the child support payment. Many factors impact child support and there may be reasons to deviate from the child support guidelines. I’ll help you determine the relevant factors impacting child support. If child support needs to be established or modified, the court might make that change as of the first day of the month after you file - so let’s file your child support motion right away.
